Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball player of the La Clippers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing around 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has began exclusively for the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Honor, an Olympic gold medal, and brought the National basketball association on assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got recently been chosen to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.

Paul had been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for 2 time spent university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons reach their first ever number one ranking. He was picked 4th all round on the 2005 NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets and traded into the Clippers in 2011.

In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team deal sending Paul to the L . A . Lakers. A NBA, which owned the team during the time, nullified the offer, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off keeping Paul.The teams involved in the trade attempted to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the offer does not help.On December 12, the Hornets decided to a trade sending Paul on the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down after the NBA added additional needs for the authentic conditions. Two days further, the teams now formed the trade, transferring Paul and two future 2nd stage draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick on the 2012 draft. After the deal's conclusion, Paul declared that he could choose to the final season of his contract and stay for L . A . for about 2 more years.
